From knitwear and leather to cowboy boots and ballet pumps, Marks & Spencer’s new women’s collection showcases the fashion trends not to miss.
Marks & Spencer’s women’s fashion is having a bit of a *moment*, with the TikTok fashion girlies calling the brand ‘super-chic’ and one user in the comments even claiming it’s the ‘new Zara’.

The wide legs trousers
Coming in petite, regular and long fit, these black wool-blend trousers have a super-wide leg and are perfect for both the office (paired with the ballet pumps below) or a cocktail bar when worn with heels. Super-wide-leg trousers are a key trend this autumn — and not one restricted to women, as shown by Drake’s recent outfit, which had stylists divided (we like them!).

The crew neck vest
Smart waistcoats have had their time and are now fading out of fashion — to be replaced by knitted vests. Whether a simple pullover or a button-up variety, if it’s got a crew neck, it’s on trend. This light air-yarn crew neck vest from Marks & Spencer is the perfect purchase. You can wear it alone over the next few months for a transitional look, then layer it over shirts and long-sleeve tops come winter. You could even pair it with the trousers above for a complete look.
The ballet pumps
If you went to school in the 1990s or 2000s, then you might have sworn off ballet pumps a long time ago. However, they’re a key fashion trend right now — and one with longevity, as they’ll certainly be around for summer 2025, too — so it’s time to get back on board. They’ve had a slight update, with a square toe being the ballet pump a la mode, making this pair from Marks & Spencer the perfect purchase. Plus, they’re leather, so if you take care of them with a little shoe polish they’ll last a long time.
The slip dress
If you’ve found yourself inspired by Jenna Ortega’s style on the press tour for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, then this V-neck black lace slip is for you. It’s versatile, too, as it’s easy to style for both day and night. To dress it down, pop it on over a long-sleeve top and style with some chunky boots; at night, pare it down to just the dress and some heels.
The cowboy boots
Part of a trend that actually started last year, but isn’t going anywhere in a hurry: these knee-high block heel cowboy boots, which are the perfect autumn/winter shoe. You can style them almost any way imaginable — over jeans, under wide-leg trousers or with dresses and skirts of any length. They happen to pair pretty well with the dress above, too.
The bomber jacket
Last autumn was all about the trench coat, but it’s time to swap your classic coat out for an oversized bomber jacket. Marketed as being cosy and comfortable, this white faux fur bomber jacket is best purchased a size up for that on-trend, relaxed autumnal look — plus, it means you’ll have space for layers below when winter hits.
The day bag
Marks & Spencer’s quilted shoulder bag comes in two colour options — black and camel — and is big enough to hold your laptop and makeup bag, making it the perfect choice for an office day. Its slouchy design means you can hook it under your arm for something of a catwalk-inspired look.
The evening bag
This quilted bowler bag comes in the same fabric and colour options as the bag above, but offers a smaller and more structured design — perfect for carrying your essentials at night. It has a long, detachable strap, so you can sling it over your body, as well as a firm handle so you can hold it in your hand if you prefer.
