You’re getting prepped and ready for your summer getaway, and you’re weighing up which beauty products you absolutely need. Your makeup bag is already packed to the brim, and the overflowing suitcase in the background is seemingly mocking your sheer audacity to try and fit yet another product in. Trust us, we’ve been there.
But, in order to help you sail through security this year without having to flip and flounder at the airport — forced to make the unthinkable decision of which items to part ways with — we’ve rounded up our non-negotiable beauty picks.
From all-in-one products to humidity heroes, these stellar items are the ones you need to be packing — wherever your flight may take you.
Beauty of Joseon Matte Sun Stick
As a former sun lizard who thought she was invincible to UV rays, I’m new to the world of SPF 50. However, since discovering a smattering of sun damage across my forehead, I’ve become a firm member of the Factor 50 club. This little sun stick from Beauty of Joseon comes with me wherever I go.
It’s super easy to use — just like the dreaded sunblock sticks of the 00s (IYKYK) but with a genuinely divine, matte texture. It works well under makeup and has no white cast. Also, no liquid, so great for hand-luggage only trips!

Wella Deluxe Rich Oil
For my curly hair, the combination of humidity and seawater on holiday is, quite frankly, the stuff of nightmares.
As a frequent hand-luggage only flyer, I’m usually forced to sacrifice my formidable collection of haircare products, which are dedicated to taming the mane.
My 100ml bottle of Wella Deluxe Rich Oil is my single saviour while abroad. Only a few pumps of the serum will magically detangle and rid my hair of its endless frizz.

Eucerin SPF100 Actinic Control Sun Lotion
As L360’s resident skincare specialist, I’d be remiss not to chose sunscreen as my travel essential. A little predictable, sure, but let me introduce you to Eucerin’s SPF100 Actinic Control Sun Lotion.
A registered medical device that claims to prevent non-melanoma skin cancer, it’s lightweight and absorbs easily, leaving no white cast. Formulated for use on the face and body, it comes in an 80ml bottle making it perfect for carry-on luggage.
But, if I didn’t feel obliged to say sunscreen, I’d tell you to take Rare Beauty’s Perfect Strokes Volumizing Mascara. It never smudges, however sweaty you get (which I put to the test while hiking in Morocco).

Dr Paw Paw 7-in-1 Hair Treatment Styler
When it comes to travelling, all-in-one beauty buys are my sun, moon and stars.
If I’m going hang-luggage only, I need products that are as versatile as they come (to keep me from overloading the unnecessarily tiny translucent bag) and Dr Paw Paw’s 7-in-1 Hair Treatment Styler has been a recent saviour of mine.
Containing aloe vera, papaya fruit extract and hydrolysed keratin, this multitasking gem works to protect hair against heat, and detangle and defrizz as well as add some shine.
Not only do I use it on wet hair pre-styling, but I also use it on my post-styled hair to add some shiny pazazz and tame my wild flyaways. The best part of the whole product is that it smells amazing — and it’s made me become the strange girl who frequently sniffs her hair.
