From glittery jumpsuits to rhinestone-covered gowns, the dazzling outfits of celebs like Harry Styles and Jennifer Lopez turned the Grammys red carpet into a proper catwalk on Sunday night.
The 65th Annual Grammy Awards saw musicians, performers and celebrities gathering at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on 5 February, to celebrate some of the year’s greatest albums and musical achievements — among the big winners were Beyoncé (for best dance/electronic recording, dance/electronic album, traditional R&B performance and R&B song) and Harry Styles, who, somewhat controversially, won Album of the Year.
Still, the night was also the perfect excuse for celebs to flaunt their best, sparkliest outfits and walk the red carpet in style. From black latex gowns to dramatic polka-dot ensembles, these marvellous looks from the Grammys red carpet and ceremony serve as standalone, iconic fashion moments.
Doja Cat in Versace
This was probably the most talked-about outfit of the night. Rapper, singer and record producer Doja Cat stunned in a bold, black latex Versace gown with an alluring cut that could be deemed the dark equivalent of Jessica Rabbit’s signature red dress. She completed the look with black latex gloves and earrings, for maximum impact.
Cardi B in Gaurav Gupta
Another daring choice, hip-hop performer Cardi B wore an electric blue Gaurav Gupta gown with dramatic sleeves that enveloped her in blue, ethereal layers from head to toe, leaving just her cleavage and waistline exposed. The musician’s shimmering pendant earrings further added to the glamourous look.

Harry Styles in EGONLAB x Swarovski
It’s only fitting that Harry Styles wore one of the most glittery outfits of the night. The singer took home the coveted Album of the Year award and was certainly dressed for the part. This colourful EGONLAB x Swarovski crystal mesh jumpsuit was made especially for Harry, as a way to express his love for experimentation and positive personality. After the ceremony, Harry donned another sparkling outfit, this time from Gucci, complete with cropped cream jacket and camel trousers.
Shania Twain in Harris Reed
You can count on country pop legend Shania Twain to pull off a quirky polka-dot, black and white ensemble, and to do it in style. Designed by Harris Reed, the outfit — paired with a matching top hat — was only outrivalled by Shania’s bright red locks.
Adele, Beyoncé and Lizzo in velvet and metallic gowns
Nothing screams ‘sisterhood’ more than this snapshot. Adele, Beyoncé and Lizzo met at the Grammys to chat and flaunt their glorious gowns. Adele (who won the Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance) went for a custom red velvet Louis Vuitton dress with a dramatic collar, while Beyoncé and Lizzo opted for metallic dresses — the former turned heads with a corset Gucci gown made of a nude-coloured bodice and silver skirt with ruffled hem, while the latter chose a custom Dolce & Gabbana with over-the-top sleeves.
Taylor Swift in Roberto Cavalli
Possibly as an ode to her Midnights album (and especially the Bejeweled music video), this shimmering navy crop top and long skirt by Roberto Cavalli gave Taylor Swift that extra touch of sparkle. The pop singer accessorised with Lorraine Schwartz jewellery including a pair of large, dramatic earrings, which really stood out as she wore her hair up in a bun. She completed her make-up with her signature red lipstick.

Jennifer Lopez in Gucci
This plunging, navy blue Gucci gown with draped sleeves encapsulates Jennifer Lopez’s grandiose sense of style and dynamic character. The dress is covered in rhinestones and is accentuated by J.Lo’s oversized Bulgari necklace.
Lourdes Leon in Area
Lourdes channelled her mum with this red, crystal-embellished Area dress with pointy cone bra-style bust — Madonna wore a similar corset by Jean Paul Gaultier on her 1990s Blond Ambition tour. The red nails and purse matched the outfit, while the cross-adorned necklace echoes some of Madonna’s past jewellery choices.
Pharrell Williams and Helen Lasichanh in Ernest W Baker
When it comes to co-ordinated outfits, it looks like Pharrell Williams and Helen Lasichanh know what they’re doing. The couple’s studded quilted leather outfits are from Ernest W Baker, the label created by Reid Baker and Ines Amorim. Trust in the power of bejewelled sunglasses, diamond jewellery and a fur coat to take tracksuits to a whole new level.
