Whether you prefer Olympic Games official fan zones or lively inner-city squares, these are the best London spots to cheer on Team GB from this summer.

For two weeks of summer, the Paris Olympic Games (26th July – 11th August 2024) will capture the undivided attention of people all over the world, and London is no exception.

Whether you’re just hoping to catch the key highlights or are planning to make a whole day of it, you can experience all of the Team GB action at these cheerful summer spots. And the best part is — they’re all absolutely free.

Summer Screens, Canary Wharf

A hotspot for family-friendly events, Canary Wharf’s annual summer pop-up, Summer Screens, is back with a Summer of Sport. And this summer that means all the excitement of the Paris Olympics on the big screen. Watch all the action on huge HD screens in Canada Square Park with a grab-and-go picnic from nearby Atis or Bread&Truffle. Just bring along a blanket and settle down for an afternoon of sporting fun.

King’s Cross Team GB Fan Zone

Head to Lewis Cubitt Square in King’s Cross — one of London’s three official Team GB fan zones — to catch all the action on a huge outdoor screen. And if this wasn’t enticing enough, you can also enjoy live DJ sets and try your hand at a range of Olympic-themed activities. With a programme of onstage entertainment, including Q&As and medal celebrations with Team GB’s returning athletes, you’ll be right in the middle of the excitement in one of London’s liveliest squares.

Summer by the River at The Scoop

Whenever the opportunity arises to come together and enjoy a special event, Londoners inevitably gravitate towards the Thames. Take in the buzzy vibe at the cool courtyards of Summer by the River and watch all the Olympic Games highlights at The Scoop — an outdoor amphitheatre on the south bank of the Thames right by Tower Bridge. Cheer on your favourite GB athletes over lunch and a refreshing summer drink by the river. And don’t forget to check out offerings from all the pop-up bars and restaurants as well — you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Battersea Power Station Team GB Fan Zone

The recently repurposed six-acre site of the landmark Battersea Power Station will see the return of the Battersea Games this summer — two months of sports, activities and live viewings. Partnering with Team GB and Ocean Outdoor, the Official Team GB Battersea Power Station Fan Zone will showcase all the action from the Olympic Games on an outdoor big screen in Power Station Park on the banks of the River Thames. And when you’re not engrossed in sport, you can eat, drink, shop and relax with over 140 British and international brands.

Grosvenor Square Team GB Fan Zone

For those looking to experience the games in style, the stunning Grosvenor Square in Mayfair is the perfect spot. It will play host to a large screening of the games as a designated Team GB fan zone. Grab a deckchair — and, ideally, some kind of bubbly — as you watch the games just a short walk away from Oxford Circus. Enjoy food from a variety of pop-ups and stalls including Fabulous Coffee Co, Masa Tacos and Harissa & Lemon.
