There’s a notable chill in the air and a crunch of leaves underfoot. Autumn has made an early appearance here in the UK, and our latest edit is all about preparing you for those cosy nights in.
We’ve all returned from our summer holidays hoping that the warm weather will continue just that little bit longer as we edge into September, but alas, the low temperature over the past few days presents us with a resounding nope.
Instead, it seems that winter preparation is already afoot in the UK, and shops like HomeSense and Dunelm now have their autumnal furnishings proudly on display.
So, eager as ever to embrace the cosy season, the L360 editors have carefully selected their top pick of autumn essentials, each tailored to speak to every aspect of wellness this fall.

Warmies luxury heatable boot slippers
As a self-confessed slipper fanatic (with four pairs already in my collection) these boots have quickly become my favourite — they’re truly the softest and fluffiest slippers I’ve ever owned.
Lightly scented with lavender, they can be microwaved for a warm, soothing touch — the perfect companion for those crisp afternoons spent on the sofa with a good book and a hot chocolate. warmies.co.uk

The Wick & Wax Co Montane candle
This season, I’m obsessed with The Wick & Wax Co, a Stamford-based candle brand.
As an avid hiker, pine is my favourite scent, and this candle is the most piney one I’ve smelt (and I’ve scent-tested many). I love being able to bring the outdoors inside with me and filling my room with a fresh, leafy aroma.
Candles are a great way to bring some light and warmth into the home when the days start to darken and are a cost-effective method of adding some pampering and relaxation vibes to your everyday life.
This one has a burn time of 40 hours so can be used all season long. It’s made from totally natural ingredients and has no nasty paraffins or palm oil that so many cheap candles include, it’s also 100% soy so it’s vegan-friendly. thewickandwax.co

Ember Mug
My favourite thing about the colder months is that they provide me with the perfect opportunity to cosy up with a good book and a warm drink (thrilling, I know).
But I have a very irritating tendency of leaving my freshly made tea untouched as I lose myself in the pages, and I have no bigger pet peeve than drinking a cold cuppa (don’t get me started on microwaved tea).
Then came my knight in shining armour, Ember. As the world’s first temperature-control mug, this incredible feat of technology keeps my drink warm for up to three hours, and you can even set a precise temperature of your tea, hot chocolate or coffee. If you’re a temperature freak like me, this will be greatly pleasing to you.
The mugs and tumblers are definitely pricey, but it’s a justifiable investment for those (like me) that waste time and electricity endless popping on the kettle and pouring out their perfectly fine — but cold — tea down the sink. ember.com

Lumie SAD Light
I run hot, so the cold weather doesn’t bother me too much. The dark mornings, however, are painful.
A few years ago, I bought myself a Lumie light and it helped tremendously. A Class 1 medical device, the latest model, Bodyclock Luxe 750DAB, allows you to set a ‘sunrise’ of between 15 and 90 minutes prior to your alarm — when it’s time to wake up the light has helped adjust your body clock and prepared you for waking, so you don’t feel so tired and groggy.
You can go for a traditional beeping alarm or choose from relaxing sounds that softly wake you up. It also means you don’t have to rely on your phone and won’t be hit by bright blue light (which has a negative effect on sleep) if you want to check the time at night.
You can set a ‘sunset’ too, to help you switch off at night — it starts bright enough for reading and slowly dims, prompting you to sleep. lumie.com
