To help you add a little luxury to your home, we look at how to replicate the signature interior design style of three different hotels from around the world with homeware brands.
One of the pleasures of checking in to a luxurious hotel, besides the stellar service and exclusive amenities, is the signature decor. Every detail, from the custom-designed furniture and plush bedding to the handcrafted tableware, adds to the experience. What if this five-star ambiance could be recreated at home? Thanks to these hotels and their designers, it can.
Design your bedroom with EDITION Hotels
Conceived by Ian Schrager and Marriott International, EDITION Hotels ooze sophistication and style at their many global locations. Thanks to Shop EDITION Hotels, their custom decor can also become part of your daily routine. Following a bath using signature bath and body products scented with black tea by Le Labo, wrap up in an EDITION Hotel robe. End your day by sinking into the 300 thread count sateen bedding, complete with down duvet and pillows, all in the comfort of your own home. You’ll soon understand why their hotel beds are so highly rated. Chuck a throw across the top of the bed too, EDITION’s are made of premium baby Alpaca wool from Peru, complementing any living space. From the London EDITION where the tradition of tea holds strong, the handcrafted white bone china teapot features a bespoke pattern recalling the ornate ceiling in the lobby. For additional seating, The marble pouf, featured at The Miami Beach EDITION, adds an element of whimsy.
Bespoke furniture from hotel designer Anouska Hempel
The creator of Blakes Hotel in London — the first boutique hotel to open its doors back in 1978 —  Anouska Hempel has recently made her eclectic products and furniture available for sale. This collection of custom-crafted treasures from Hempel House & Hotels includes grey velvet dining chairs with black lacquered legs and matching banquette from the Franklin hotel in London’s Knightsbridge, well accented with a torchiere floor lamp with a burnished brass frame. And now there’s no need to travel to the Duxton Reserve in Singapore for a yellow velvet settee and matching yellow fan as this is available too. The black lacquered scribed dining table can be paired with chairs from all of Anouska’s hotels while the majestic mother of pearl chest of drawers makes for a conversation piece. Furnishings from her more recent hotel opening, Monsieur George, just off of Paris’ Champs-Élysées, include a handmade round green marble table with a burnished steel base. The green velvet perch stools found in the hotel bar would make an elegant addition to any in-home bar.
Elevate your dinner party tableware with Le Sirenuse
Set on the Amalfi coast in Positano, Le Sirenuse offers a uniquely alluring scene. Whether or not your travels take you to this legendary hotel in the heart of Positano, thanks to Emporio Sirenuse you can now decorate your home in Le Sirenuse style. Artist Luke Edward Hall created exclusive collaborations with an address he’s come to admire. His bone china dinner plates with gold rims in a variety of colours depict faces and the view of Positano. Mugs and a bone china charger featuring a Luke Edward Hall lemon vase design are also part of the table set collection. The hotel’s mouth-blown crystal glasses by Carlo Moretti — one of the most respected glass factories in Venice — are also for sale. Every colourful glass, tumbler and bowl is a work of art. Decorating the chairs and sofas of Aldo’s Bar at Le Sirenuse are a collection of silk pillows hand embroidered in Mumbai. Inspired by the traditional Suzani textiles from Central Asia, these vibrant pillows can be mixed and matched to add the perfect touch for classic or more minimalist home decor.
